Sonor Signature Snare Drum Gavin Harrison Protean 12x5 Premium Pack w/Case & Extra Wires

This unique instrument was designed over 14 months from the ground up by Sonor in collaboration with Gavin to create something truly special. The 5x12 Sonor Gavin Harrison Signature Protean is a 6-ply birch snare with hybrid bearing edge design. The top has a vintage-style rounded bearing edge to promote more contact with the head. The snare side has a sharp 45 degree edge for ultimate sensitivity and articulation. The hoops are also a hybrid design of an S-Hoop on the batter side and a modified triple-flange snare side hoop that accommodates Sonor's versatile Dual Glide Strainer. Gavin even designed all-new snare wires, tuning keys and dampening rings that are also included with the Protean Signature Snare! The result is one of the crispiest, most responsive and versatile birch snare drums we've ever heard.

The Premium Edition additionally includes a unique Protean case, made by Hardcase UK. The case contains the “EQ” and “Spacer” snare wires, secured in a wooden box, separated from the drum itself.
