These drums blow me away. Pearl has upped the game with these. There's isn't any silly marketing mumbo jumbo with these; it's just a killer sound. Most of the drum samples you are hearing on the radio are modeled from the Pearl Snares.

Free Floating lugs do not touch the thin 1.2mm bronze shell at all, allowing it to vibrate and project as much as possible. With the FTPB1465, you get rugged, heavy duty Pearl hardware that keeps the drum in tune, but doesn't affect the shell resonance.
