I don't usually write reviews, but I received my Ludwig Tulipwood this morning and had to say something. It took me about 60 seconds to tune it straight out of the box, and it sounded phenomenal.
I can’t recommend this snare highly enough. I originally bought it as one to add to my collection, but it’s now set up with my kit and I suspect it’s going to stay there for quite some time as my preferred snare to play!
Also, a big recommendation for DCP — the service has been excellent throughout.

These hats are sick. I’ve played quite a few hats overs the years and these are very musical even when comparing to other more expensive brands. They do that familiar thing while saving $.

Bad-a#@!. Rounded out my ludwig classic maple bass drum edges (which they should do) and put on the head. Sounds like a Sub-Woofer on my side and the perfect punch in front. Like thunder. This is how a bass drum is supposed to sound. No pillow. Great work.

Love these hi hats. I was using meinl classics custom dials and those are pretty good but I was looking to get a brighter cleaner sound like Stewart Copeland and Danny Carey and these hats were definitely the right choice. Oh and the bark is killer. Don’t second guess your self if your looking at these the sound doesn’t match the price at all. What a steal!!

Perfect modifiable muffler. Can reconfigure and EQ as needed. Great!

Amazing kit! Although when buying I would reccomend replacing all the snare heads. I went with remo Ambassador coated for the toms and snare, Remo Powerstroke 3 for the batter head and evans calftone for the resonant head.

Just what I ordered.

i started out with new kick pedals with a Pearl single arm [right side] affordable model. Slapped the made for Pearl speed bearing on it, the result was improved responce.
Forever boing. The left sided german [Sonor] was great out of the box, the speed bearing addition made it even more so. Boing for 13+ seconds. Both pedal boards equal length, german feels smoother, Pearl is a great back-up. Canopus is a class act, glad to use their products. K in AK.

The Walnut/Birch drum set is a proven option for Tama and drummers alike. This exclusive white lacquer and black nickel hardware combination is a bold, yet professional look on stage. Plus these drums sound full with plenty of low-end and a nice, snappy transient. The only concern is how the black nickel hardware will hold up over time. Fingers crossed… These drums will see a TON of gigs across the southeast U.S., and I’m stoked about having them. Also my sE Electronics mic clips work pretty well with the Starcast mounts, in case mic placement is a consideration for ya.
