Great pads. Revived my old old old old metrophones. Wish they had a softer foam version they get a bit sweaty but the vinyl wipes clean easy enough.
Nice sounding right outta the box. there was a slight ding on the kick drum finish, likely from y=the factory but not a deal breaker. Very beautiful drums!

Nice quality. Fairly heavy single ply "reso" head with additional ply on outer edge.
A nice bonus was the reinforcing ring for a mic porthole. I mounted it on the inside since I wanted a hole a bit smaller than the ring itself.

This is a good, economical alternative to a diecast hoop. You get great cross stick sound, and less arm fatigue from left-hand rim shots.

They are light, fast, and are about the best sounding sticks I've ever played on a Ride cymbal, especially in a jazz situation. I do tend to go through them quicker when playing heavier music. You need a light touch, this is the one!
